Police: Cars Driving Down Southwest Philly Street Engage In Wild Shootout

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching the occupants of two cars who reportedly fired guns at each other while driving down a Philadelphia street.

The incident happened shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday along 63rd Street and Lansdowne Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.

According to investigators, two cars were driving down the street firing weapons at each other. After the shootout, the cars drove away.

A sanitation worker picking up trash reportedly witnessed the shootout and called police.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries from the gunfire.

Detectives were at the scene canvassing the area for any possible clues.
