New Service Would Allow Consumers To Rent The Apple Watch

WASHINGTON (CBS) – Can't afford the new Apple Watch?

No worries. Starting this summer, you can rent one.

A Washington-based entrepreneur has reportedly created Apple Watch Lease.

So far, he says he's bought more than a dozen 42-milimeter Apple Watch sport devices.

Right now, there are no specifics available about the rental terms, just that rates will likely be less than $50 a month and rental periods less than a year.

Of course, there will be a security deposit the entrepreneur describes as "significant."

According to CNN Money, the startup's creator says they aren't trying to make the watches more affordable or available – they just don't think the watches will be worth much a year from their release.
