April Fools! Local Expert Weighs In On Pros And Cons Of Pulling A Prank

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Today is April 1st, otherwise known as April Fools' Day.
But Temple University psychologist Frank Farley says you need to be careful about who you prank, because not everyone likes to be the butt of the a joke:
"Can the person who is the victim handle it if it's embarrassing, if it's humiliating, if it's a form of bullying?"
Farley says on the other hand, the prank can also be beneficial to the giver and receiver:
"Did it show that you can laugh at yourself?"
Farley adds that laughing can go a long way:
"Laughing is very good medicine -- a terrific stress reliever."
Experts say before you pull a prank, consider what you're doing and who you're doing it to."
