WEATHER: McGusty Family Visits Philadelphia For Parade

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  The McGusty's blew into town today, hoping to disrupt the St. Patrick's Day parade with their intrusive presence. The rowdy family – dad Blow Hard, mom Hold Onto Your Hats, and their ill behaved children Sustained Winds and Gusty Winds – thinks it is hilarious to see parade goers bundled up, with backs turned against the northwest.

"Why, that's where we're from," Blow Hard told a few sightseers, who looked southeast to avoid eye contact. He tried to spin the lighter ones around to face the northwest McGusty's and got tangled in a few scarves.

The family, who pop up throughout the year and are never welcome anywhere, again refused to dress in parade green or plaid. Instead, they wore their usual invisible outfits, hoping their almost 40 mph shades of clear gusts would startle people who stepped out into the open.

The McGusty's plan on hanging around through the evening, continuing to overturn trash cans, flipping up skirts till midnight, and thinking how fun it is come roaring into Philadelphia on parade day.

They have an Atlantic cruise planned for Monday.
