Professional skateboarder Theotis Beasley might have the widest range of music on a pre-game playlist, with songs ranging from the likes of Rick Ross to Taylor Swift.

“I like something that will get you hyped up,” Beasley said as he talks about artists like Ross and Tyga. “The most embarrassing song on my iPod, actually Taylor Swift is kind of tight. I like Taylor Swift.”

Beasley said he is not afraid to tell his buddies he enjoys Swift’s music, but added he would not “bump to it” with them.

Beasley noted his favorite types of artists are the ones who talk about real life events they went through to get to where they want to be.

Before a tournament, Beasley noted three songs that are must plays: “The Boss,” by Rick Ross, “Make Me,” by Meek Mill and Drake’s “0 to 100.” But, no song defines him more, according to Beasley, than “Grindin’” by Lil Wayne.
