Philadelphia Ice Sculptor Carves 'Ice Goddess' On MLK Drive
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One local ice sculptor got creative with all the ice and snow hanging around the Philadelphia area.
Don Harrison stayed up overnight to carve a huge "ice goddess" inside a tunnel along MLK Drive.
Harrison is an ice sculptor by trade and he says he was inspired after driving by the large ice formation over the past few days.
"I drive past this ice formation everyday and thought it would be a unique idea to sculpt it, so I added a little bit of ice to it, drew up a design, and I've been here since about 1:30 in the morning," Harrison says.
His creation, which he named "Sheera," impressed many commuters Wednesday.
