Chicago's LLWS U.S. Championship Team Stripped Of Title

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Chicago-based Little League World Series team that eliminated Philadelphia's Taney Dragons has been stripped of their 2014 U.S. Championship.

The team, Jackie Robinson West, has vacated their wins for using ineligible players.

Jackie Robinson West reportedly used players who live outside of the permitted geographic region the team represents.

The team representing Chicago's South Side emerged as a force, beating Las Vegas 7-5 in the U.S. title game after eliminating Mo'ne Davis and Philly's Taney Dragons in the previous game.  Jackie Robinson West became the first all-African-American team to win the championship.
