Princeton University Rates Magazine's #1 'Best College Value'

PRINCETON, N.J. (CBS) -- Kiplinger, the personal finance magazine, has published its annual list of colleges across the country that give you the best "bang for the buck."
Among the top 300 colleges nationwide, Princeton University, believe it or not, is the magazine's choice for #1.
Swarthmore and Haverford are in the top 10. Penn comes in at 26.
Waitaminnit, you're thinking -- they're all high-priced institutions! But Deborah Diamond, president of the local collegiate advisory group Campus Philly, says those schools are using endowments to diversify, "so they might be financially accessible to people, but in terms of the competitiveness of the school, they're still difficult to get into."
Other local schools on the list: Villanova, Rutgers, the University of Delaware, Rowan, West Chester, Temple, and Stockton College.
