Cops: Suspect Caught On Camera Stealing Police Bike From Lobby In Center City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who they say stole a police bike in Washington Square last week.
Authorities say on January 9 around 1:10 p.m., Center City District Police responded to a radio call at 21 South 12th Street to meet a complainant on the fourth floor.

Once on location, the officer placed a police issued Trek bicycle inside of the lobby and continued to take a report on the fourth floor.
While the officer was taking the police report, authorities say an unknown black male exited the elevator and took the officer's bicycle, which contained OC spray, a CPR mask and other police equipment.
The suspect was last seen south of 12th Street headed toward Chestnut Street.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, late 50-60-years-old, 5'10"-6'1", 175 pounds with a thin to medium build. He had a full gray beard and was wearing a black ski hat, tan jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan boots.
The bicycle is a black Trek bicycle with "Police" written in white on the frame and rear cargo bag.
