Police: 1 Man Dead, Another Man Injured In South Philadelphia Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say one man is dead and another man is injured following a shooting in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the 600 block of Winton Street.

Philadelphia Police say a 35-year-old man was shot in the head.  He was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital by police, where he was later pronounced dead.

A 56-year-old man was shot in the stomach, police said.  He was also taken to Jefferson.  His condition is unknown at this time. SEPTA confirms he is an off-duty bus driver.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is underway.
