Woman Rescued From Burning Home In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Firefighters rescued a woman from her burning home overnight in Germantown.

Flames broke out around 1:00 a.m. Monday at a home along the 6400 block of Belfield Avenue.

Officials said fire crews arrived and found a 60-year-old woman trapped in a second floor bedroom.

She was rescued and taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she was treated for smoke inhalation. She was listed in stable condition.

Firefighters put out the blaze in about 30 minutes.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was being investigated.
