School Bus Window Broken With Baseball Bat In Northeast Philadelphia; Student Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a student was injured after a woman allegedly broke a school bus window with a baseball bat in Northeast Philadelphia.

The alleged incident was reported just after 3 p.m. Thursday at Roosevelt Boulevard and Levick Street.

Philadelphia Police say the school bus was stopped at the traffic light at the intersection when some sort of argument reportedly occurred between the occupants of the bus and females inside a Chevy Tahoe.

Police say the vehicle reportedly pulled in front of the bus and two women got out.

According to police, one woman allegedly sprayed the front of the bus with a substance described as chemical mace while another woman allegedly broke a window with a baseball bat.

A 15-year-old student was cut by the broken glass.

Police say 21 students, the bus driver and a school bus monitor were on board the bus at the time of the alleged incident.

Police continue to investigate.
