Peters: 'I'd Do The Same Thing If It Happened Again'

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Jason Peters would do it again.

When Nick Foles was blind-sided by the Redskins defensive lineman during Sunday's game, Peters came to the aid of his quarterback, attacking Baker resulting in an ejection. The already depleted Eagles offensive line was forced to finish the game without their Pro Bowl tackle, but Peters has no qualms about the incident.

"I'd do the same thing if it happened again," Peters told reporters on Tuesday. "The guy cheap-shotted my quarterback. I'm going to protect him."

Baker said it was a legal football hit and he would do the same thing again. The Eagles and Redskins have a rematch in week 16. Let's just say, if Baker does something like that again, what would happen?

"He gonna get the same result," Peters said.

While a suspension doesn't seem likely, Peters does indeed expect a fine from the league.

"I've definitely got a fine coming, but I'm willing to pay it."
