SPRINGFIELD, Pa., (CBS) — A search was underway for two bodies believed to be buried in a Delaware County park.

A murder suspect apparently led Upper Darby Police to Indian Rock Park in Springfield Friday afternoon.

Police say he allegedly told them he stabbed a man and a woman to death in his Secane apartment two years ago, dismembered their bodies, and then buried them in the park.

“Tonight we tried to hand dig our way where he claimed the bodies were located and we weren’t able to get through the dirt. So we called in an Upper Darby front-end loader and we were able to dig,” Superintendent Michael Chitwood of Upper Darby Police said.

Police found nothing today.
