New Dating App Helps Users Find Love On LinkedIn

By Melony Roy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you don't mind mixing business with pleasure, there's a new app that uses data from your LinkedIn account to help you find love.

LinkedUp! helps users find potential dates based on data pulled from their LinkedIn profiles. Founder and Penn grad Max Fisher says the app allows users to find more quality matches.

"It allows users to match based on things like age, gender, distance from each other as well as what industry they work in and what schools they've gone to."

Fisher says he came up with the idea for LinkedUp! when he noticed more people using LinkedIn for dating purposes.

"I thought that it was a great idea to build this mobile app and give that opportunity to everybody in a clean easy to use format."

The app has no affiliation with LinkedIn so your LinkedUp activity will not show up on the network.

LinkedUp! is free and available for download in the Apple app store.
