Google Glass Goes On Sale To The Public Tuesday

By Ian Bush

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- You'll soon be able to buy what might just be the geekiest accessory you can wear.

Google Glass has been off-limits to everyone but contest winners, app developers, and others hand-picked by the company.

But now, they're giving the rest of us the chance to buy the device that puts an Internet-connected computer screen in front of one eye.

They go on sale at google.com/glass on Tuesday, Tax Day -- perhaps you can use your refund toward the $1,500 you'll need to join the 'Explorer' program.

Google says spots are limited for Glass, which you can control by touch and voice to take pictures and video, do web searches, get directions, and augment your reality.
