Massenat, Drexel Top College Of Charleston 56-45

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Frantz Massenat scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half to lead Drexel past College of Charleston 56-45 on Wednesday night.

Massenat moved into 7th place on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,619 points. He needs two points to pass Mike DeRocckis and move into 6th.

Drexel (16-12, 8-7 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 28-22 at halftime, but limited the Cougars to just 17 points, on 4-of-22 shooting, in the second half.

The Dragons opened the second half with a 13-2 run and never trailed again. A jumper by College of Charleston's Willis Hall tied the game at 43, but Drexel closed the game with another 13-2 spurt.

Chris Fouch added 11 points for Drexel, which made 18 of 20 free throws, including 11 of 12 from Massenat.

Hall paced College of Charleston (14-16, 6-9) with nine points. The Cougars' starters made just 10 of 35 field goals.
