PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating after a fire destroyed a home in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.

Two dogs died and five people were displaced due to the blaze, which happened overnight in the 100 block of West Washington Lane.

The fire spread to a vacant house next door before being placed under control around 2:15 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains unclear.
