Penn Uses 2nd Half Run To Beat Dartmouth 74-65

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Miles Jackson-Cartwright had 15 points and nine assists Saturday night to lead Penn over Dartmouth 74-65.

Penn (7-16, 4-5 Ivy League) went on an 11-2 second-half run to pull away from Dartmouth (9-15, 2-8) for a 68-53 lead with 6:13 to go.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Quakers and avenged a 67-58 loss on Jan. 31 to the Big Green in which Alex Mitola scored 25. Penn stopped Mitola this time, holding him to just four points and 1-of-4 shooting.

Tony Hicks led the Quakers with 18 points, Fran Dougherty added 13, and Steve Rennard and Henry Brooks each scored 11.

Dartmouth jumped ahead 14-8 as Brandon McDonnell shot 5 of 5 from the field for 10 points in the first 5 minutes. He finished with a career-high 18 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. Kevin Crescenzi added 10 points as Dartmouth lost its sixth straight.
