Berks County Middle School Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Having Sex With Student
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A middle school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a student, the Berks County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.
Jessica Saienni, 30, of Landenberg, was a science teacher at Southwest Middle School in Reading.
From June 2012 through August 2012, investigators say Saienni allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old male student.
A warrant was issued on Thursday for Saienni's arrest. She surrendered Friday morning at the Berks County Detectives Office with her attorney.
Saienni is facing the following charges: Statutory Sexual Assault, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Institutional Sexual Assault, Corruption of Minors, Intimidation of Witnesses or Victims, and Unlawful Contact With Minor.
She will be arraigned at the Berks County Sheriff's Department Processing Center.
