Police: Suspect Pointed Pellet Gun At Victims, Then Posted Their Reactions On Instagram

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—According to police, a 21-year-old man pointed a black pellet gun at several victims and then posted the incidents on Instagram.

On February 13, Daron Stinson allegedly pointed a black handgun at a male on the 2200 block of Diamond Street and made an unknown statement to the victim. He then fled the location in a black pick-up truck.

In a second incident later that day, Stinson, along with another individual, approached a 52-year-old man who was salting the sidewalk on the 2800 block of Diamond Street. Stinson allegedly asked the victim how much he wanted for the rock salt and then pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the man. Stinson is accused of demanding the victim to place the rock salt in the back of the pick-up truck, but as he approached the truck the suspects sped off.

Both of these incidents were recorded and placed on Instagram. According to police, the gun used in these incidents was black pellet gun.

There were no injuries reported in either incident. An Amarex X-B-G, 4.5mm Pellet gun was also recovered by police at time of arrest.

Stinson turned himself into Central Detective Division on Tuesday at 1:05 a.m. He is charged with Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and other related offenses.
