AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Chaz Williams had 17 points and eight assists on Wednesday night to help Massachusetts end a two-game skid with a 79-67 victory against La Salle.

Trey Davis and Cady Lalanne each scored 13 while Derrick Gordon had 12 points and six assists. Sampson Carter chipped in 11 points and Raphiael Putney had 11 rebounds.
Jerrell Wright had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead La Salle (12-10, 4-4). The victory allowed UMass to remain unbeaten in the Mullins Center this season with a 9-0 record.
