WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police are investigating a homicide in Wilmington, Delaware.

Police responded to the 2400 block of Carter Street Saturday evening around 5 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. They found a crashed vehicle with a 28-year-old man inside, unconscious with gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation suggests the victim was shot before the car crashed. His name is being withheld at this time.

Police don’t have any suspects as of now. The investigation is ongoing.
