Police In Lancaster County Seek Machete-swinging Man

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — Police in south-central Pennsylvania are searching for a machete-swinging man who allegedly threatened to cut off the head of another man with whom he was arguing.

The arrest warrant issued for 45-year-old Brian Caldwell stemmed from the Wednesday altercation in suburban Lancaster.

He's charged with simple assault and terroristic threats.

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era reported (http://bit.ly/1bH3YnM ) that Caldwell arrived at a barn whose owner rents it for storing personal property.

Police said the 52-year-old victim then claimed Caldwell demanded payment on a debt before he retrieved a machete from his vehicle and ran at the man swinging it and threatening to cut his head off.

The victim fled and called police. He wasn't hurt.

Police say Caldwell's last known address is in Ocean View, Del.
