WiFi generally isn't hard to find, until you desperately need it. Wi-Fi Finder lets you locate both free and paid WiFi, covering 650,000 locations in 144 countries.

Using your phone's GPS, the app will guide you step by step to the exact location of the hotspot. You can also filter those spots by location type. And best of all, it's an app that works offline.
