Suspect Seen On Surveillance Video Wanted For Homicide

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit is looking to identify the suspect who shot and fatally wounded a 27-year-old male.

On October 16th at 11:27am, Philadelphia Police responded to a shooting in the area of 2400 South 63rd Street.

When they arrived, police found Tyrik Griffin, 27, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and lower back.

Griffin was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead.

A surveillance video at the scene shows Griffin being chased and shot at by an unknown male with a handgun.

Philadelphia Police describe the suspect as a Black male, approximately six feet tall, medium build, with a Sunni-type beard and wearing a black sweatshirt with "NIKE" in white letters across the chest.
