Terror Film Festival Begins With Halloween On Horizon

By John Ostapkovich

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you're trying to scare up something to do Thursday through Saturday, you might consider the annual Terror Film Festival on Rittenhouse Square.

"It's alive!. It's alive! It's alive!"

It's certainly a live-ly time at the Ethical Society Building over the next three days.

Ghost flicks and paranormal encounters are big, according to Festival spokesghoul Princess Horror.

Something different this year is a docu-thriller called 'Mortal Remains' looking into the mystery of slasher movie director Karl Atticus:

"They say that there was only one copy ever made which happened to be destroyed at the theater that caught on fire 'cause a riot broke out at its first screening," Princess Horror said. "But.... in order to find out what's going on with this mysterious film, you'd actually have to come and see the documentary."

But this year's festival also features Caesar and Otto's Deadly Xmas, a mad-Santa mash-up in the category called Horromedy, you laugh until you die, or something like that.
