PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Old City restaurant High Street on Market will begin serving dinner today, Wednesday, Oct. 16th.
The eatery, which is helmed by owners Ellen Yin and Chef Eli Kulp and has already garnered rave reviews for its duck meatball sandwich and cannoli danish, announced the move just hours before the dinner service is set to kick off.READ MORE: Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney Says He'll Be Happy When He's Not Mayor Following Fourth Of July Shooting
Both Yin and Kulp say diners can expect creative food and beverages.
“The dinner menu is designed to be fun, free-flowing and communal; everything is built for sharing. The focus of the menu is our hand-made and house-extruded pasta, prepared in a manner that is anything but traditional. Our goal is to take familiar combinations and portray them in a new light that is original and inspired, yet approachable, in both aesthetic and price,” Chef Kulp said in a release.READ MORE: Sources: Authorities Investigating Whether 2 Police Officers Struck By Stray Bullets On Ben Franklin Parkway
And the menu does sound original, with innovative dishes such as Hubbard Squash Hummus with with long hot chermoula, black sesame and “gingerbread,” German-style sour rye Vollkornbrot studded with fresh ginger; and Jerk Eggplant Agnolotti with jerk spices and caramelized goat yogurt.
Dinner will be served Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
