PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — There’s a new development in Pennsylvania politics.

The Governor is sending a message to the Democrats and his own party.

This week features the unusual Wednesday special election for United States Senate from New Jersey, but the hot race that people are not watching is the lite war oil between Pa Governor Tom Corbett and his own party.

Party insiders have been trying to sell report to ,news organizations that the Party may try to convince Corbett to step aside considering his low approval ratings.

Our sources say Corbett will have nothing of it and instead has launched an attack against the record Democrat Allyson Schwartz.

She is a possible opponent for Corbett.

The attacks on her record are designed to let his own party know that for now the governor is still in the game.
