Man On Bike Struck By Hit-Run Driver In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene after striking a man on a bike in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. at Cottman Avenue and Revere Street near the Roosevelt Boulevard.

According to investigators, a 19-year-old man was riding a bike when he was struck by a car. Authorities say the driver of the car fled the scene after hitting the bicyclist.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in good condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on the driver is urged to contact police.

The incident remains under investigation.
