Reward Rises In Mysterious Death Of South Jersey Woman

By Mike DeNardo

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- The reward has been increased for information on the death of a Gloucester Township woman last month.

The family of Carol Reiff is hoping the reward -- now up to $20,000 -- will help authorities determine how the woman died.

Reiff, 59, an avid runner, was found dead on June 24th in a wooded area near her home in the Lakeview Apartments (related story), four days after she was reported missing (related story).

Reiff's daughter, Dawn Centanni of Manahawkin, NJ (photo), is longing for an answer:

"We are mourning, and we are hopeful of a resolution. And when that resolution comes we'll be thankful for it, if it's tomorrow or in a year."

Reiff's employer, the Admiral Insurance Company, donated $9,000 to the reward fund.

Investigators have not determined a cause of death. They say they're treating the case as a homicide until they get information indicating otherwise.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucester Township Police or the Camden County prosecutor's office.
