Video: Ultimate Warrior Returns For WWE 2K14 Video Game

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's been a big week for WWE news. Last week, reports surfaced that Philadelphia is being considered as a host of an upcoming Wrestlemania. Sunday night, the Money In The Bank pay-per-view took place at the Wells Fargo Center. And today, the Ultimate Warrior returns.

The WWE announced today that one of the most popular wrestlers of the 80's and 90's, the Ultimate Warrior will be playable character in WWE 2K14, for those that pre-order the video game.

The Ultimate Warrior was one of the strongest, most athletic wrestlers of his time, and did some of the scariest, most intense promos in wrestling history. He hasn't lost a step, as shown in a promotional video released today. He looks like the same guy, just with gray hair. "Immortality is inspiration, pure and simple. An example to others that they, too, can do things larger than the life they are actually living, and Ultimate Warrior was the pure embodiment of this belief, in what has proven to be a very attention-getting and inspiring way," the Ultimate Warrior said in a press release. "It was my good fortune to be his creator and performer, and I am humbled by all those fans who've not only kept his legacy alive, but deepened it over time. In WWE 2K14, Ultimate Warrior's creed, 'Always Believe,' lives on."

The Ultimate Warrior does appear in a different game, WWE All-Stars, but has not appeared in the more realistic 2K series.

WWE 2K14 will be released on November 1st for both Playstation and XBox systems.
