2 Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Prospect Park

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Local police say a man and a woman are dead after what appears to be a murder-suicide Sunday.
Investigators say it began in Prospect Park just before 4 p.m. when police were dispatched to a reported shooting on the 1300-block of Fletcher Avenue.
Once there, a 31-year old woman was found with gunshot wounds to her chest and face. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
A witness had police on the lookout for a man who left the scene in a van, and about two hours later, that van was found by police on Mario Lanza Boulevard in Southwest Philadelphia. Inside police found the man who was identified as the shooter, 38-year-old Anthony Serody, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The investigation is ongoing.
