PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have released right handed pitcher Chad Durbin, and recalled left handed pitcher Joe Savery from Lehigh Valley.
Durbin’s second stint with the Phillies was far less successful than his first. Durbin is 1-0 in 16 games this season, with an ERA of 9.00. He’s allowed 25 hits in 16 innings, with a WHIP of 2.125.
Savery has appeared in only one game for the Phillies this season, striking out one and not allowing a run in one inning. He’s 3-1 in 18 games with Lehigh Valley, with an ERA of 4.05.
