PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia are holding an “adult” fundraiser at the Convention Center Friday, May 10th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The money supports the clubs that give kids a home away from home.

Friday, May 10th is the start of Mother’s Day week-end, so why not bring Mom?

Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia CEO Lisabeth Marziello (right) says she’ll be like a kid in a candy store.

“You’ll get a wine gas, a savoring guide; there will be cheeses and wines. It’s gonna be a fabulous night with silent auction items , it’s a party,” says Marziello.

“My father was an over-the-road truck driver; my mom worked for the city. There’s eight of us and for most of my friends they saved our lives,” says Houck.

Tickets for the Philly Showcase of Wine and Cheese fundraiser are $50 if you call at 215 735 88-18, $55 at the door.
