PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers signed guard Shelvin Mack to a second 10-day contract, the team announced today.

Teams can sign players to two consecutive 10-day contracts before guaranteeing their deal for the remainder of the season.

Mack has appeared in two games for the Sixers, playing a total of five minutes.

Mack was selected 34th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards. Before signing with the Sixers this year, he was third in the NBA D-League in points per game, and leading the league in assists per game for the Maine Redclaws.
