New Jersey Residents Left Unemployed By Sandy Reminded To Apply For Assistance

TRENTON, NJ (CBS) – Gov. Christie is reminding those left unemployed by Superstorm Sandy that they have until February 4, 2013 to file an application for Disaster Unemployment Assistance.

DUA, which is available to affected individuals who don't qualify for regular unemployment insurance, covers the self-employed and many hourly workers who were left unemployed as a direct result of damages sustained during the storm.

Anyone left unemployed because of Sandy may file for Unemployment Insurance benefits online at www.njuifile.net or by calling a New Jersey Reemployment Call Center here:
