NORRISTOWN, Pa (CBS) -- There were no surprises in three of the Congressional races in the Philadelphia suburbs on Tuesday.
The incumbents had a big night in Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties.
In the 6th District, Republican Jim Gerlach easily defeated his Democratic opponent Manan Trivedi, a doctor and Iraq war veteran. Gerlach goes back to Washington for his sixth term.
In the 7th District, Republican Pat Meehan was re-elected to a second term fighting off a challenge from attorney George Badey.
In the 13th District, which covers Montgomery County and parts of Bucks County and Philadelphia, Democrat Allyson Schwartz was re-elected, holding a nearly 40% edge over her opponent, Republican Joe Rooney.
