Warming Stations Opened In Montgomery County

LOWER MERION TWP., Pa. (CBS) - Lower Merion Township has opened multiple warming stations throughout the township due to power outages caused by Superstorm Sandy.

Locations will be open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday for all community members to warm up, charge electronics and get coffee and other nourishment. If officials determine there is still a need for warming stations they may be reopened on Sunday.

The following locations have been reported as warming stations:

  • Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, 35 Greenfield Ave., Ardmore, PA
  • Belmont Hills Fire Company, 4 S. Washington Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA
  • Bryn Mawr Fire Company, 901 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA
  • Gladwyne Fire Company, 1044 Black Rock Road, Gladwyne, PA, Corner of Black Road and Conshohocken State Road
  • Narberth Ambulance, 101 Sibley Avenue, Ardmore, PA, Next to Suburban Square
  • Narberth Fire Company, 100 Conway Ave., Narberth, PA
  • Penn-Wynne - Overbrook Hills Fire Company, 1440 Manoa Rd., Wynnewood, PA
  • Union Fire Company of Bala Cynwyd, 149 Montgomery Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA
