Man Arrested In Connection With Lewd Acts In South Jersey

RIVERTON, N.J. (CBS) - Police in south Jersey have arrested a man in connection with a series of lewd acts that occurred in Palmyra and Riverton last month.

Twenty-eight-year-old Robert Lopez, Jr. of Camden was taken into custody on a warrant which had been issued for one the acts that occurred in Palmyra.

Riverton police say in one incident last month, two Cinnaminson High School girls were headed home when a man pulled up to them, exposed himself and then drove off.
Less than a half later, Palmyra police received a phone call that the same thing occurred, with a similar description of the vehicle, according to police (see related story).

In an interview with Palmyra and Riverton Police, Lopez allegedly admitted to the numerous acts.

Lopez is charged with Criminal Sexual Contact, Endangering the Welfare of Child and numerous counts of Lewdness. Lopez is held on $7500 bail.
