Wife Dead, Husband Injured In Conshohocken Fire

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa (CBS) -- A fire in Whitemarsh Township has claimed the life of a woman and has left her husband hospitalized.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene of the blaze at 367 Roberts Avenue in Conshohocken around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. On arrival, police and firefighters located 70-year-old James Conicello in the rear of the home with burn injuries while extensive fire was engulfing the entire residence.

Firefighters later found Conicello's wife, 71-year-old Barbara Conicello, in a ground floor bedroom deceased.

James Conicello was transported  to Bryn Mawr Hospital for treatment.

The fire remains under investigation.
