Philadelphia Police Searching For Suspect Wanted In Connection To May Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting and aggravated assault that happened in May.

On May 19 at approximately 1:47 a.m., a 28-year-old female was leaving Baileys Bar at Bailey and Dickinson when she was stopped by an unknown male she'd seen around the neighborhood. She engaged in a conversation with him, and during the conversation, the man pulled out a gun and fired. As the woman attempted to pull away, the suspect fired several shots at her vehicle, striking her once in the right shoulder.

Police have identified the suspect as 26-year-old Jhileel Burton of the 1400 block of S Marston Street. Burton is a black male with a medium complexion. He's about 6'0" tall and thin, with several tattoos on his neck and face.
