Mechanic Accused Of Stealing, Reselling $400K Worth Of Stolen School District Property

BENSALEM TWSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – A Bensalem Township School District employee was arrested on Monday for allegedly selling stolen school district property.

According to Bensalem Police, 68-year-old Frederick Lange of Croydon was arrested after an investigation revealed that Lange stole and resold over $400,000 worth of school district property.

Police found that Lange, who worked as the lead mechanic and shop foreman at the school district's bus garage, had stolen and resold truck tires, truck batteries and other automobile accessories over a span of 10 to 14 years.

Lange is currently being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail.
