Motive Unclear In Stabbing Death Of Whitehall Twp. Groom

WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) -- The mother of a Pennsylvania groom stabbed to death on his wedding day — allegedly by the bride — says there hadn't previously been any violence in the relationship.

Billy Brewster's mother, Barbara Obas, tells WFMZ-TV that her son and his 31-year-old fiancée, Na Cola Franklin, were arguing over trivial matters at the time of his death outside Allentown.

Police were called to the second-floor apartment in Whitehall Township just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday and found the 36-year-old groom with two stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Franklin has been charged with homicide.
