July 4th Celebration Wraps Up On The Parkway

By Cherri Gregg

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philly 4th of July Jam and Grande finale Wednesday night was the biggest Independence Day Bash in the City.

Many big names in the world of music graced the Ben Franklin Parkway for this year's celebration.

The Roots pulled a few rabbits out of their hat, introducing a new acapela group Naturally Seven to kick things off, followed by Queen Latifah and Joe Jonas, who brought out his brother Nick as a surprise guest.

Next was rapper Common, followed by Daryl Hall. And Grammy-Award Winner Lauryn Hill also performed right before the fireworks began.

With all of the music, the fireworks didn't get started until around 11p.m., but they didn't disappoint.
