PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect responsible in multiple robberies involving two video game stores earlier this week.

Twenty-year-old Maurice Connelly — from the 5900 block of North 21st Street — is suspected of robbing a Game Stop store at 5301 Chew Street in Germantown late Sunday morning while armed with a handgun. He made off with cash, merchandise, employee cell phones and the store keys.

Police believe Connelly is also responsible for the robbery of a second Game Stop store at 2900 North Broad Street in Glenwood on Monday morning. According to police, the suspect duct-taped the employees and forced them into the rear of the store before fleeing on foot with cash and video game merchandise.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge of Connelly’s whereabouts to contact Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353/3354. You can also submit a tip via telephone, dial 215.686.TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847.
