Ferman also declined to comment on whether Ricca, who has been with the office for more than two decades, was the focus of an investigation.
Ricca headed the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (“ARD”) program, a pre-trial program for first-time offenders of nonviolent crimes. If the defendant successfully completes the probationary program, his or her record is expunged.
Ricca was responsible for approving or rejecting applications from people looking to get into the program.MORE NEWS: 'End Of Watch Ride To Remember': Motorcycle Ride Honoring Fallen Officers Makes Stop In Philadelphia
