One Dead After House Fire In Gloucester County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) --A 56-year-old woman is dead after her house caught on fire early Saturday.

The fire started around 12:30 a.m. in the house at 77 Golfview Drive. It was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.

The woman, identified as Darlene Starrett, was pulled from the home and taken to Kennedy Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her son, who also lives at the home, was at work in King of Prussia at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined pending an inspection by an electrical engineer.
