I-95 Northbound Reopens After Tractor Trailer Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Interstate 95 northbound has reopened after an overturned tractor trailer snarled traffic for hours Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. just north of Bridge Street. Authorities say the accident caused a fuel spill which prompted the two right lanes and the shoulder to be closed. Authorities advised commuters take alternate routes as traffic was severely congested between the Delaware Avenue and Cottman Avenue exits. Commuters can expect some delay at this time.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident. For complete traffic updates, visit the CBS Philly traffic page.
