La Salle Clobbers Central Connecticut State, 85-59

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) -- Jerrell Wright scored 21 points to lead five La Salle Explorers in double figures in an 85-59 rout of Central Connecticut State University on Thursday night.

La Salle (8-4) took a 52-22 halftime lead and coasted the rest of the way to win easily. CCSU (5-6) lost its fourth game in a row and suffered its first defeat at home.

La Salle shot a sizzling 56.5 percent from the floor (35 of 62), and went 8 of 16 from three-point range.

The Blue Devils connected on just 39.3 percent of their shots (24 of 61), and were only 6 for 21 from three-point range.

Ramon Galloway (in photo) scored 15 points on six-of-seven shooting for La Salle.  Sam Mills added 12, and Tyreek Duren and Devon White had 10 points apiece for the Explorers.

Kyle Vinales led CCSU with 18 points and Robby Ptacek had 14.
